Our regular membership meeting at Mike's Steakhouse hosted Congressional Candidate Mike Pompeo.  We had 28 attendees.
 
Saturday November 21, 2009
Our regular membership meeting at Mike's Steakhouse welcomed 112 members and our program included OathKeepers administering the Constitutional Oath, US Congressional Candidate Jim Anderson and former Presidential candidate
Dr. Alan Keyes.  That evening we had a table at Dr. Keyes evening fundraising event.

The Kansas Health Care Freedom Amendment

 

Article 16. — HEALTH CARE
1. Health care.

(a) To preserve the freedom of Kansans to provide for their health care:

  1. A law or rule shall not compel, directly or indirectly, any person, employer or health care provider to participate in any health care system.
  2. A person or employer may pay directly for lawful health care services and shall not be required to pay penalties or fines for paying directly for lawful health care services.

    A health care provider may accept direct payment for lawful health care services and shall not be required to pay penalties or fines for accepting direct payment from a person or employer for lawful health care services or shall not be disqualified or otherwise excluded from participation in any health care system.

(b) Subject to reasonable and necessary rules that do not substantially limit a person's options, the purchase or sale of health insurance in private health care systems shall not be prohibited by law or rule.

 
Kansans for Liberty had at least 15 people at this event.

Saturday October 24th, 2009 - October Kansans for Liberty monthly meeting at Mike's Steakhouse.  The "warm up" speaker was known as "The Geezer" for the Fair Tax organization and the main event was Kansas Senator Dick Kelsey.  We were surprised when we had 57 in attendance that day.

We have a regular showing of 10 to 15  members at the Friday Noon Wichita Pachyderm Club meetings at the Petroleum Club at the top of the Bank of America Building at Douglas and Broadway.

Saturday September 19th, 2009 - October Kansans for Liberty Monthly Meeting at Mike's Steakhouse.  The first speaker was Wichita City Councilman, Jeff Longwell, and our main speaker was Sedgwick County Commission Chairman Kelley Parks.  We had 28 in attendance that day.

Saturday September 12, 2009 - Many of us went to Topeka for the 9-12 Rally and TEA Party.

Friday August 28, 2009 from 6 to 9 pm was our first American TEA Party at Sedgwick County Park. 
Approximately 1200 people came to this event including all of the news sources.  We were the organizers and sponsor of this large event.

Kansans for Liberty, Inc was founded on August 4, 2009 by Lynda Tyler. 
The original board of directors and organizers of the first tea party included Lynda Tyler, Judy Park, and Diane Jones.
